The trip to Cuba was wonderful and very rewarding. Authentic Cuba Travel® excellent guidance has made the difference between a good trip and a great one. The steps you provided for Americans was exactly what was needed to get into Cuba and return safely. For Americans, a trip to Cuba requires more documentation than for traveling to most other countries. The amount of information you provide on your website is just what is needed to understand and satisfy the U.S. Customs/Treasury departments requirements. Upon my return, I provided the required documentation and cleared U.S. customs without any issues.

As for my experience in country, the provided itinerary was right on target with very little deviation other than some availability of venue personnel. The itinerary was spaced out in a manner to give one adequate time to explore Cuba on a deeper level such as meeting the locals in their environment. As with all tours to other countries, you visit the tourist sites, however, we were given the opportunity to see the country as the locals see Cuba. For me, that makes the trip well worth the extra effort it took to make the trip to Cuba. The food in Cuba was better than I had expected, for instance, the buffet breakfast at the Hotel Libre in Havana provided a variety of juices and breakfast items that I don’t normally see in most hotels in the states.

Our Cuban guide, David was excellent. He answered all our questions and provided much more color than was required. David was always punctual and kept us on target with the itinerary. By doing this, David was able to give us the extra time to spend with the locals. There were several extra requests by the tour members for which David went the extra mile to solve, such as taking one person to the local doctors office for a minor issue. David’s’ attention to details was evident and appreciated.

First, Roma and I would like to thank Authentic Cuba Travel® for everything you've done to make for a remarkable experience. As artists, we were blown away by the quantity and quality of the art we saw as well as by the professionalism and training of the artists. The Art School was most impressive and easily the best use for a golf course we've ever seen. We did buy some works and are savouring them as we speak. In addition to the art, we did get to interact with the Cuban people and experience the culture, history and get a feel for the current situation. While much was packed into the week we were there, we could have definitely used more time.

By the way, your suggestion that we bring medicines and first aid materials was excellent. We took them to the maternal and infants clinic in old town and gave them to the pharmacist who was genuinely appreciative. I had an amazing trip.

The best aspect of the trip was unquestionably our guide Eric who exercised a measure of patience which i considered nothing short of astonishing. He was exceptionally versed on a wide variety of issues, kind beyond necessity, and tolerant of idiotic and insensitive questions from some members of our group. He is an intelligent and valuable asset to your organization and whatever his compensation I'm sure he deserves more.

Your patience, Yane, is to be commended as well. Looking over our email correspondence prior to departure I recognize our failure to acknowledge simple instruction.
